Crazy Town back up (and the host provider’s getting The Isz’s back up!)

We’ve discovered that there’s another useful function to The Mare’s Nest – and that’s when a forum or blog is cream crackered, people can look through past posts we’ve mentioned from it in order to alieviate their need for their fix.

Funny, we always saw ourselves as the mogodon of the Simmers world, not the methodone!

We’d actually tried getting in touch with The Isz by e-mail using the contact listed to find out what was happening – but it turned out (when we got the rejected mail message) that this was a generic one (ie. webmaster@whatevername.com!)that the hosts post up for anyone’s site going kaput, whether the e-mail address exists or not.

Of course, it never dawned on us to check on her Sims 3 blog – even if it did, that site’s down half the sodding time anyway lately.

Logic told us to check on The Simmers Club (Twallan’s mods there, some overlap of members, even if posting activity isn’t exactly plentiful) – a lack of logic made us forget to check on Simbology (the first obvious other place!) for news.

Duh!

The Isz explained that the host had come under some sort of attack (seems to be a lot of this about of late – as poor Evie and some of the Black Pearl Sims Pearly kings and queens will testify).

But of course trying to get any precise elaboration as to what was going on proved elusive – she has no right to know as far as they’re concerned – after all, she’s only the paying customer!

Yes, well that was clear as mud!

As Trif said, this sort of non-reply made to look like a reply but which is not a reply at all (whoops, we’ve slipped into Yes, Minister mode) is par for the course.

Still, for future reference, if Crazy Town does do a disappearing act in the future, check on TheISZ‘s blog over on the EA forum to find our what ‘isz’ going on.
