Caldey Isle Is A Brilliant New World, But…

There’s a new world creator that’s finally decided to unleash her efforts on the Simming public. We’ve been waiting since August 2015 for this one to come out, and just at the close of last year, our patience was rewarded.

StellaToronto certainly cannot be faulted for wanting to make her debut with a bang with Caldey Isle (nothing to do with Caldey Island in south Wales!). For such a small island, this one is literally packed with detail and features.

StellaToronto has shown the correct sympathy for the concept of a town still showing their medieval roots with tightly packed streets of period buildings.

As you can see, she’s not slopped out any old crappy buildings to cover her pride and joy. These are well crafted, excellent creations you’ll be well tempted to save to your library folder for use elsewhere too.

But therein lies the snag. There is simply too much packed into this world. Even with a top notch computer with plenty of memory and the best graphics card, your system is going to struggle, despite it being a vehicle free world.

Look no further than the Upper Town area where you have so many large buildings almost on top of one another:

If you choose to download this one – and by plumbob we most certainly recommend you do, right now! – you will want to knock down some buildings for empty space and getting a few useful community gardens in their place.

The trouble is deciding what will you have to bring yourselves to do without?
