Viktor86 And Delphy’s No Drama Llama Ding Dong

A small supplementary to yesterday’s business, more or less from the point of view of being an interesting side discussion regarding what constitutes drama – and more to the point common or garden bumnuggetry – on a Simming forum.

The point was raised by Viktor86 in response to Delphy calling Mod The Sims a No Drama zone:

Viktor86 And Delphy's No Drama Llama Ding Dong

Viktor86 served, and Delphy returned with this:

Viktor86 And Delphy's No Drama Llama Ding Dong 1

All very well and good and ever so smelling of vanilla. However, Viktor86 did come up with a rather interesting challenge:

Viktor86 And Delphy's No Drama Llama Ding Dong 2

Exactly – in the age where playing the victim card has never been more popular, where is the line drawn between truly hurt feelings or some troll wanting their pound of flesh, let alone the boundaries of what’s acceptable and what’s not?

Delphy’s response was that the matter is rather subjective, and context is everything:

Viktor86 And Delphy's No Drama Llama Ding Dong 3

Which is the one danger of the MTS ‘dot system’ for liking/disliking: it’s too easy for someone to get an ‘official’ bad reputation simply by rubbing up one person the wrong way whereupon all their ‘besties’ start red dotting your posts – same carry on as the EA forum was to face in turn.

Bottom line is that it is all dependent on having reliable moderators who will treat members with as near to equal contempt as is possible. Which as experience has proven, is easier said than done…
