It Must Be The Summer, MadameLee’s Come Out Of Hiding

madamelee reappears and oh dear here we go again

There’s the first cuckoo of spring, and the first cloudcuckoo post from MadameLee that denotes the start of the summer for Simmers on the EA forum.

madamelee reappears and oh dear here we go again 1

Granted in this instance back on the 23rd May they were the innocent sucker of LoveMcQueen5683’s poor form in trolling the Sims 4 fans (for plumbob’s sake, aren’t EA trolling their own customers enough?) although well done to CoffeeBeanPopcorn in joining in the gag in (what we hope) was the lighthearted spirit intended (debatable…), with Scobre and Sharkloverplayer added a touch of insanity and sanity to the thread:

But anyway, her reappearence in the EA forum was one that took an all too familiar tone from the offset:

madamelee reappears and oh dear here we go again 4

‘If I get hot-headed, I apologise in advance.’ – if you’re self-aware enough to know that getting hot-headed is a matter to apologise for, you’re self-aware enough to count to ten before posting anything ‘hot-headed’. Just saying…

… and ended in familiar style. But let’s not get ahead of the story.

MadameLee was bemoaning her inability to buy things (or her sister to buy things) because Origin does not deal with foreign currencies such as that of Canada (which is the Canadian Dollar, although we think it should be the Kraft Dinar…)

As per usual with a MadameLee ‘poor little me’ story that sounds suspiciously looking for a sugardaddy or sugarmummy, she didn’t do herself any favours when she spoke of her parents supposed strict control of her finances – then seconds later saying she’d just spent $90.33 on books!

But at this point, let’s us give you some translation from MadameLeeSpeak to the Queen’s English, courtesy of our inbuilt Bumnuggetfish app.

When you read:

‘Wish Blunote00 was around she would be extremely helpful to explain how strict my parents are.’

What it really means is:

‘Wish Blunote00 was around she would be extremely helpful as she loves bankrolling every forum drama queen to keep them at the EA forum causing drama as it’s the only excitement she has in her sorry life. Also chequebook friends will always tell her what she wants to hear (ie. that the sun shines out of her arse) and never dare disagree with her.’

As we’ve pointed out before, Blunote00 has a dubious history of deliberately gifting those the Simming community could well do without. Not that she’s the only one thanks to the basket case which is the Gifting Section, but it has resulted in those with an eye for the main chance and a sob story to spin to chance their arm.

‘Once more into the clink, dear friends…’

Colton147 was the first to cry foul, but it was more the case of who was going to rather than when.

At least MadameLee admitted to yanking everyone’s chains before, thinking them flush with money, but this was a sign this thread was certain to swiftly go down the pan.

She certainly didn’t help her case by going on and on about a certain stuff pack she didn’t have:

Nor by getting snotty to the ever pleasant Sharkloverplayer (who gets bonus points for somehow managing to slip l’amour into the thread!).

SaiyanGoddess meanwhile began to question MadameLee’s storyline:

Whilst SimsILikeSims asked why she didn’t choose other methods to circumvent her supposed Victorian parents:

McRudd however – the forum’s resident loomy (yes, not ‘loony’ !)- wasn’t in the mood for being nice having heard the stories all before:

And cue the inevitable meltdown!

The part that really boils our blood is the mention of Blunote00 in a thinly disguised ‘I’ve got big friends, so you’d better not say anything nasty to me or else!’

This cut no ice with LuthienRising:

Nor with ChelleJo:

But MadameLee manage to win them over with her customery diplomatic skills and flair for persuasion:

Okay, so we lied!

At which point she ‘closed’ the thread – or rather changed the first post that you saw announcing ‘screw you guys, I’m going home!’

And that was that – for two days.

You have to admit, there’s a certain persistence to her shameless gift fishing bumnuggetry that’s almost admirable: her playing of the victim card less so.

However for Marcel21 and Inna Minnit, this was just the giddy limit:

McRudd was also no longer prepared to take her crud, not JasonAnthonySterling’s white knighting attempts.

She is of course referring to the legend that is MadameLee’s Midsummer Train Wreck of 2013 – which you can ready here, followed by part two here and the final part here, and if you’re feeling especially brave you can read the prologue.

You can imagine how that all went down!

madamelee reappears and oh dear here we go again 25

To be fair to Crazy Anne (or Anne of Ellibur, Cornflower, Disneygirl, Joan Twist or whatever other names she’s masquerading under…) she does have a point about Ontario’s bizarre treatment of the disabled (ie. both those with physical disabilities, mental disabilities and the mentally ill).

Whilst half of all the ‘disabled’ (as per the above rather broadbrush definition) in Ontario are in work, only one in ten of those on the Ontario Disability Support Programme are because it appears to have been written by the great-grandchildren of the ones who thought up the Speenhamland System, or in the view of the more cynical created specifically to keep civil servants in cushy jobs by providing a bank of docile clients who would have to be insane to take any form of work other than full time because of the loss not merely of financial benefits, but kissing goodbye to free medical care (including dental and optical) and help with rent and rates.

Anyone who leaves the system to go into anything but full time work find themselves in trouble (there is assistance for those making the transition, but the bottom line is half of every dollar earned is clawed back in lost benefits, the efficiency of those running the ODSP leaves something to be desired, and finding the time to chase them up isn’t all that easy if your working hours coincides with theirs since like every other first world nation the pen-pushers of KraftDinnerland don’t work at weekends!), and the longer out of work you are, the harder it is to get anything but part-time work.

Catch 22.

That said, you can well see why she gets on more than merely Marcel21’s perky brown nips. At the age of twenty six MadameLee needs perhaps to be concentrating on getting herself out of this trap more than writing essays about her Sims 4 stuff pack dilemmas, as her parents won’t be around forever to provide a safety net. Someone merrily blowing $90 on leisure when on disability allowance and pleading poverty to strangers without blushing is someone heading for one hell of a life crash unless she gets her shit together toot-sweet!

madamelee reappears and oh dear here we go again 28

Still, for what it’s worth, the nowadays lesser spotted Frn0731 shared her frustrations with EA towards those north of the Milk Bag line.

madamelee reappears and oh dear here we go again 29

Which of course judging by the usual blinkered response from the EA forum’s Official Arsehole-in-Chief – SimStaff Bethelle – is not a situation that’s going to be rectified any time soon!
