Cecesaun1’s wants straight answers, not Sim Gurus’ stropes

With the recent swathe of board suspensions – including the recent ludicrous one on Firestar77_2 – for the ‘crime’ of mentioning in posts that they had a blog, Cecesaun came out to give it to the Sim Gurus straight:

As Cecesaun1 elaborated in a later post, it wasn’t as if it was even clamping down on excessive plugging of blogs by the over-zealous, it was so much as daring to mention them:

Shooting from the hip, but polite and direct, there was no way anyone could misconstrue her meaning or intent, and the forum editor received well earned applause from those bloggers feeling that they’re treading on eggshells on the EA forum nowadays:

There was of course the usual suspect trying to make some Troll gold out of it:

Which was easily swatted aside by VidKid20:

Mentioning the offence, but without mentioning Firestar77_2’s name that would have given Zolt65 the excuse to report her for mentioning someone currently banned from the forum (which of course – depending on the mood of those in charge that day – could get you banned in turn) – watch and learn people if you want to survive the @rsewipe element on the EA forum and their tricks – that’s how you ride them!

Sim Guru Pop Tart then replied somewhat huffily in tone, and automatically locking the thread so no one could respond to her ridiculous explanation:

Well that’s cozy – Firestar was banned for making one plug post for a blog that wasn’t even 24 hours old! It’s not as if they could even accuse her of having no Sims content in it – look at the masthead:

Under the circumstances, perhaps having her Simmie facepalm would have been more appropriate!

But if SimGuru Pop Tart thought she could get away with trying to gag Cecesaun1, then that was not the sort of gag it turned out to be, as everyone asked, ‘you having a laugh?’

This was followed by two successive ‘home runs’, one from the originator, the other from CloverStarDropper:

‘Had enough Nazi, or do you want some more’

As CloverStarDropper pointed out to LittleV, people are completely at the mercy of rules being interpreted according to the mood of the Sim Gurus at any one given time – and for a company’s forum manned by paid employees that simply is not good enough. They are not paid to take out their mood on the customers, even if there’s no immediate financial repercussions for them doing so.

Vidkid20 spelt it out in no uncertain terms, this was plain childishness on their part to being criticised:

Even more damning was BluebellFlora revealing that her own answer to Sim Guru Pop Tart had been scrubbed before it was abruptly locked – giving the lie to the Sim Guru’s past claims that they have no control over the board and that all such functions like post scrubs are entirely to do with EA Customer Services and not them:

If they were lying about their ability to post scrub, then why believe them when they say they’ve nothing to do with people being suspended for plugging their forum once – especially when in the case of Sim Guru Pop Tart they get so defensive about it, to quote:  ‘I’m not sure where you gathered your information’, indeed!

Of course, BluebellFlora was also walking the ghost of the notorious ‘Hydra’ thread from last year, which as Walden95 noted got them nowhere fast, or even slow with the Sim Gurus’ forked tongues:

It was a rather sad sign of how matters have deteriorated in that Vidkid20 felt the need to make the following quiet point to those in charge watching – that no matter how they reacted, they could be assured that it would be recorded in at least one other place that day even if they scrubbed it:

It was only going to be a matter of time before one of the pro-Trolls came in with no other intent than to be contrary for its own sake, especially towards Cecesaun1, who has a number of them on her case because of the number of cans of Whoop @ss she’s served with extra ice since the turn of the year.

Especially on this one:

First of all, Jarshole’s claims about those complaining ‘not knowing what was going on behind the scenes’ are a straw-man – neither for that matter does she, hardly an argument. Furthermore, it wouldn’t take the cream of Scotland Yard to deduce that CloverStarDropper’s point on ‘mood’ being a deciding motive on their reaction to Cecesaun1’s original post – with the scrubbing of BluebellFlora’s post all but confirming it (and why would BluebellFlora make such a story about a scrubbed post up?).

Indeed, there’s a case for saying that it had all the hallmarks of the worse sort of ‘Nanny’-type junior manager having a strope because the ‘children’ proved so ‘ungrateful’ after being ‘treated’ earlier with an Off-Topic thread they could get at any other forum with less strings attached.

Secondly, what Sim Guru Pop Tart gave was in no way an actual answer to the points Cecesaun1 raised, any more than we are answering Jarsie9 points by saying it’s time this embittered old bat got a life away from trolling web forums ‘cos it’s not going to her towed car back.

Cecesaun1 summed it up precisely by calling it ‘hit and run’  – something a spoilt child that won’t admit they’re wrong will do.

If this is Sim Gurus trying to do the ‘hearts and minds’ stuff, perhaps they ought to go back to spending their worktime stuffing their faces with Monster Munch whilst watching more ‘straight-to-DVD’ movies hired from the corner store: they might pi$$ off fewer of the remaining active forum members that way.
